Fern Prints was born out of our love of the beautiful Peak District countryside in which we live, and our wish to share that beauty with others.  We wanted to create landscape images that were a little different, rather than the straight scenic views offered by photographs.

Each of our prints starts life as a photograph from one of our roving adventures, and we then digitally transform it – painstakingly and lovingly – into a contemporary art design.  From shady bluebell woods to windswept heather moorlands, the images are vibrant and unique, and we hope they capture the spirit of the locations pictured.

As Fern Prints has grown, so has our reach.  We are now delighted to feature beautiful images from the South West, the Lake District and Wales, as well as all our favourite Peak District places.  We will keep adding more new designs to our range as we travel, so please keep visiting our website to stay up to date.

We offer our designs as high quality square greeting cards, blank inside for your own message, each packaged with a brown kraft envelope.  We also offer 10 x 10 inch square art prints or 10 x 10 hand-stretched canvases, to bring the beauty of the countryside to the walls of your home.

The Stories Behind the Pictures…

Stanage Sheep

I absolutely love being up on Stanage, which is a mighty gritstone edge that rises high above the village of Hathersage, where I live.  It's a bit of a tough climb to get up in places, but the effort is completely worth it.  The surface of the edge is made up of huge, flat, gritstone boulders that create a wild and windswept natural playground.  It's always great to see other people out enjoying the same landscape too, and Stanage is usually pretty busy with hikers, runners, rock-climbers and paragliders. Oh, and the views!  Stanage is an impressive four miles long; at one end the whole sweep of the Hope Valley is laid out before you, and at the other you have views over Win Hill, Lose Hill and Mam Tor, to the vast ridges of Kinder Scout.  And in every direction, layer upon layer of hills and fields, each one slightly more misty than the

Why we started Fern Prints

We know that we're amazingly lucky to live in the beautiful Peak District National Park.  We have always loved sharing the pleasure we get from the stunning countryside in which we live; as a landscape photographer, Phil has for many years created photographic products that are sold in many shops throughout the Peak District.  But with Fern Prints we wanted to create images that were a little different, a little more contemporary and vibrant, than straight scenic photographs.  And that's where Suzanne came into the mix. Each of our prints starts life as a photograph from one of our roving adventures.  Using her design background and experience, Suzanne then digitally edits the images, using lots and lots of time and coffee and patience and some super clever software packages, into bright, modern art designs. We offer our designs as high quality square greeting cards, blank inside for your own message, each packaged
